By Josie Whitehead
In our garden are strawberries, warmed by the sun.
Well, let's go and pick some. Won't that be fun?
We'll wash them, de-stalk them and put them in dishes;
Add fresh cream and eat them. Aren't they delicious?
We walk past the chip shop. What can you smell?
Fish and chips cooking? I think you could tell.
Let's go in and buy some and eat straight away,
So there will be no cooking in our home today.
We've roast beef for dinner and vegetables too;
Now what sort of vegetables? I'll give you a clue:
They're green and delicious and grow up a stick!
Did you say *stick beans? Come, help me to pick.
Eat quickly! It melts and it sits in a cone.
If it drips down your clothes, you mother will moan.
In so many flavours, it just melts on your tongue.
You will guess it is ice cream! Are you ready for one?
