The monster said:

How I wish I could sing

Like a bird in a tree.

How I wish that I smelt

Like a rose or sweet pea.

How I wish that I looked

    Like a famous film star.

How I wish that I tasted

    Like a sweet chocolate bar.

How I wish that I felt –

Well how could a child feel?

Well pinch one and feel one,

     But expect a loud squeal!

You can hear their loud shouting,

    Which can deafen the ear,

But I think they taste uggggh -  yucky,

    So you’ve nothing to fear.
