“Colour me red,” said the sweet perfumed rose.

“Make my fragrance appealing to everyone's nose.

       To my gorgeous green leaves just add a sheen.

        I am the loveliest flower that ever was seen.”

The sweet tasting strawberry said: “Colour me red.

The sun ripens me in my cosy straw bed.

      Compared to some fruits I may be quite small

       But my sweet tasting juices bring pleasure to all.”

“Yes colour me red,” the fire engine exclaims;

“Like the brilliant colours of fire and its flames.

      I roar down the street with my firemen inside

      And my paintwork is red and I wear it with pride.”
