The golden sun, high in the sky

Shines down and warms the land,

And golden sand from on the beach

    Now trickles through my hand.

The golden leaves upon the trees

    Tell us that autumn’s here,

And gardeners have a lot of work -

    Oh yes, that’s very clear.

A golden cup, held in the hand,

    Speaks clearly of success

And a golden crown upon a head

    Means royalty - oh yes!

The golden ring upon my hand

    Speaks of my wedding day,

And perfumed golden freesias made

    A beautiful bouquet.

Think gold and what this word conveys:

    Think glitz, marriage, success -

And wear some gold especially when

     You set out to impress.

Colour Psychology:  (It helpe with your colour poems).  The colour gold is the colour of success, achievement and triumph. Associated with abundance and prosperity, luxury and quality, prestige and sophistication, value and elegance, the psychology of this colour implies affluence, material wealth and extravagance.  Gold in its physical state, by its very nature, denotes wealth and prestige in every country, culture and market in the world today - it is probably the most valuable and easily traded commodity available in the global market place.  Josie
